Mushroom sauce

Look at these beautiful oysters in the photo! I love all kinds of mushrooms, and I use them in many of my recipes: mushroom soups, pasta with mushrooms, mushroom pizza, pelmeni with mushrooms and many other dishes. They are great for garnishes, steaks, pork or veal chops, chicken, duck, etc. This sauce is one of the simple and delicious side dishes: mushrooms stewed with red wine and cream.


Cook time:
30 minutes


  • Mushrooms - 700 g.
  • Olive oil - 1 tbsp. l.
  • Red wine is 1/2 cup.
  • Thick cream is 1/4 cup.
  • Salt, pepper c / m - to taste.

  1. Mushroom sauce Heat the olive oil in a large frying pan, add the mushrooms. Cook on high heat for 4 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Mushroom sauce Pour 1/2 cup of wine, cover and simmer the mushrooms with wine for about 10 minutes.
  3. Mushroom sauce Add the cream, stir and cook over low heat for another 2 minutes. Add salt and pepper if necessary.
